What is Making a Melody?
Making a Melody is a ministry department of Artist In Christian Testimony International. We use music as a tool in the reconciliation process. Music is a great tool for connect people, cultures, and communties, creating shared experiences that can be a bridge for deeper relationships. We are an equipping ministry that provides resources and trainings for Christian communities that are commited to cultural diversity.
What Do We Do?
1. We provide theologically-rich multi-cultural worship experiences for churches, non-profits, conferences, and other gatherings.
2. We equip Christian communities with the proper tools to integrate culturally diverse worship music in their communities. We train and coach ministry leaders in the shepherding process of moving their community from mono-cultural expressions of worship to multi-cultural expressions of worship for the sake gospel-centered reconciliation. We give special attention to equipping musical volunteers of all skill levels with the proper training to lead multi-cultural worship music with excellence.
3. We provide resources by producing quality culturally diverse music and educational resources.
Who is David Bailey?
David M. Bailey is a speaker, music director, and producer that has spent the past decade using music as a tool in the reconciliation process. He is an active worship leader and presenter at national and international conferences. His specialty is in leading multi-cultural worship, equipping Christian communities with the tools needed to connect diverse people and cultures. He is on the core leadership team for the National Multicultural Worship Leaders Network. David is the author of Arrabon: Learning Reconciliation through Community and Worship Music and a contributing author for Worship and Mission for the Global Church: An Ethnodoxology Handbook.
David and his wife Joy live in Richmond, Virginia and exploring new cities and entertaining friends (old and new) in their home.
