The last couple of weeks have been crazy, good, and challenging.  I've been at the studio working on the music and audio for the PRC DVD.  The DVD is coming together. I think you will enjoy watching it.

About a week ago, I went to the One Conference about Racial Reconciliation.  The conference was sponsored by the Acts 29 Network.  They a good group of people and it was great connecting with them.

While I was in Charlottesville at the One Conference, I connected with Alex Mejias of High Street Hymns.  He's a great guy and you should check out his High Street Hymns stuff.  I'll be playing with Alex 8pm, March 20 at his show, "Hymns for Haiti".  I'm hoping to get him in for an interview on MAM TV soon.

I should be back on the blog wagon, so stay tune.  I have more to share.

    Awesome Night!

Tonight was awesome!  Celebrate Jesus was great... man tears and all.

Adam of Kingdom Productions just uploaded a "rough edit" (no color correction or pro audio) of the live concert DVD we shot last Saturday for the Pregnancy Resource Center.  Pro audio and color correction will be added soon.  The DVD is scheduled to be ready in 8 weeks.  If you want to pre-order the DVD, you can pre-order it by contacting the PRC.

Check out the clip and let me know what you think.

    Docu-Concert

A few posts ago, I shared with you that we will be putting on a benefit concert for the Pregnancy Resource center.

    7pm, Saturday,

    January 23, 2010

    Mt. Vernon Baptist Church

    11220 Nuckols Road

    Glen Allen, VA 23059

    Our show is docu-concert style.

    What is a “docu-concert”?

    I’m glad you asked…

Basically, we’ve worked with Adam Samuelson of Kingdom Productions to produce a documentary for our client, Pregnancy Resource Center to tell their story of what they do.  The documentary will be shown throughout the concert as we sing songs that celebrate life.

The admission is free and everyone is invited.

Come out, I think you will enjoy it!

Live Concert for the Pregnancy Resource Center

    Mark you calendars for

    7pm, Saturday, January 23, 2010

Making A Melody will be in concert raising funds for Richmond’s Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC).

The concert will be held at

    Mount Vernon Baptist Church

    11220 Nuckols Road

    Glenn Allen, VA 23059

The event will be a multimedia worship concert celebrating life.  We will be performing songs of different ethnicities and cultures, so come out and experience it with us.  A professional DVD will be made of the event so the PRC can continue to raise money through DVD sales and awareness.

Why raise money for the Pregnancy Resource Center?

One of the criticisms of right wing conservative evangelical Christians are… “they are anti-abortion and not pro-life once a baby is born”.

The PRC in Richmond is pro-life holistically.  They serve mothers and fathers in helping them navigate through the fears of an unexpected pregnancy and the many details of taking care of a child, including medical needs, parenting, career choices, and much more.

When I met Kim Warburton, executive director of the PRC, one thought dominated my mind.

    “She really cares for people.”

All of the money that comes into PRC goes to help a woman and her family.  The PRC doesn’t lobby at all.  They are on the front lines loving people.

Kim wanted to do a concert that celebrated God’s gift of life.  She wanted to celebrate what they are for instead of what they are against.

If you want an evening of celebrating life with us, come on out.  It will be fun.
